You Would be on Cloud Nine if….#SassyMusings 7/23/14

  • If you had bought a ton of PBYI calls yesterday. Oh well! Regardless biotech in general is also doing nicely and there are a lot of names I am very interested in getting long. GILD can make that even better if they report well. Being patient for now.
  • AAPL monster today and dips should be bought. LNKD having a nice day. I imagine it will be affected by FB earnings tonight. I am still hanging on to GOOGL. GOGO and GMCR just meh, but I have time and wasn’t stopped out yet.
  • We just keep grinding higher and this is when it starts to get concerning. And when I say concerning I don’t mean for some big drop or correction. I mean for one of those quick gross dips that wipe out your short term options or try to shake you out. I’ve been trying to go further out on my buys so that I’m not subject to those spills.
  • I took a gamble and am long GRUB into earnings tomorrow morning. Wish me luck :-).
  • The SPY open interest changed yesterday and no longer are those calls as concerning. If it didn’t shift today maybe it will pin, but for now edge is to the bulls keeping it propped up. spy.7.22
